1931 BAYONNE BRIDGE DEDICATION MEDAL

An E-Sylum reader forwarded this article from a local Bayonne, NJ newspaper. Like many articles in the popular press, it misidentifies a medal as a "coin". It's about an item sold this week on eBay, where the seller called it a "token medal". So I guess it’s a cointokenmedal. It went for more than $174. -Editor
Bayonne Bridge medal The seller describes the coin as "Very Scarce 1931 Port Authority of New York (and New Jersey) "Bayonne Bridge Dedication" Whitehead, & Hoag made 33mm. Bronze Token Medal."

The Bayonne Bridge was built in 1931.
