Hmmmm. I've seen medals and other items like this. I would think that they often they come about because at the time of issuance the subject is quite famous and "needs no introduction", yet a century later people are left scratching their heads wondering "Who was this guy"? So I guess I'd call them "Huwasdisguy Medals".
