THEODORE N. VAIL NATIONAL AWARD MEDALS
Regarding the Vail medal, Scott Miller writes: In case it is of any interest to anyone, the medal to Mrs. Josephine L. August was listed with a brief description of the events that led to the award on page 51 of For Noteworthy Public Service, Theodore N. Vail National Awards, no author listed, published 1950. The book lists all awards to 1948, with many accounts of the meritorious acts by the recipients.
