'SPENT BY LAWFUL GUN OWNER' OVERSTAMP

My son Tyler has developed a fancy for large denomination bills. He's been accumulating cash this spring from mowing neighborhood lawns and other chores, and last weekend he asked me to convert part of his stash into four $100s and for $50s, which I was happy to do at our local bank branch last Saturday. But I saved this note with an overstamp I hadn't seen before: "Spent By Lawful Gun Owner". -Editor

We live in Northern Virginia. I wonder if it's appeared elsewhere in the country. Have any of our readers encountered this stamp?

I haven't found anything online about this particular stamp, although there are other firearms-related stamps out there. Here's one from 2014. -Editor
