I have an old envelope the has "SET OF PLATES (8) FOR BROWNING BOOK" with 8 plates inside. I have compared the plates to the 1992 Browning & Breen book , published by Bowers and Merena and also to the plates in the 1925/1950 Ford original text/new plates issue and they match except that these eight plates are 8”x10” with roughly ¾" to 1 ¼" white margins and the last plate has an additional image of a coin labeled B-2A in the middle of the plate.
I do not have an original Browning that I can compare to. Can anyone tell me if these are originals? If the original Browning's had B-2A why didn't the subsequent ones?
Interesting question. Can anyone help?
