En novembre 2014, le groupe DAECH ou ISIS, soi-disant État islamique, annonçait la création d’une monnaie propre. Des images de pièces
ont été diffusées dès l’été 2015 et quelques exemplaires d’un monnayage ressemblant circulent depuis cet automne.
