Regarding the Royal Mint's collective "shield" reverse designs, Pabitra Saha writes: The reverse designed by Mathew Dent has become popular as a "Jigsaw puzzle" design and a few countries like France etc have designed their commem coins with that design philosophy. Moldova, recently announced their new circulation series with jigsaw design on both obverse as well as reverse. Interesting. Here are images Pabitra included.
