"I am looking for a listing of ANA auction sales from 1908 (?) onwards which include significant Canadian material - either in quantity or by specific lots. I believe a listing of ANA sales was compiled a few years ago in the Asylum, and I know that some are included in Adams' book on 20th century American auction sales - but a great deal of them are not included.
I am interested, specifically, in highlights of the sales (ie. British Columbia $10 and $20 gold pieces, 1921 fifty cent pieces, etc.) so that they could be included in the listing. All fields of Canadian numismatics are to be included: tokens, paper money, decimals, Maritime coinages, etc. If sales contain too many significant pieces in a series to individually list (i.e. paper money), one could note the number of lots of that material included in the sale (ie.over 500 lots of choice Canadian paper money, specimens, proofs and vignettes).
Even if I have to receive this information a sale or two at a time that would be great. I don't expect anyone to have a full set of ANA sales on hand, but even if they would care to look at some of the ones they do have and pass along any information at all it would be very gratefully received indeed."
