"The Economic Rise of Early America" by Gary M. Walton & James F Shepherd was described as a readable look at the financial side of the period. "From Dependency to Independence: Economic Revolution in Colonial New England", by Margaret Ellen Newell was also mentioned as a favorite. "Financing The American Revolution" by Udo Hielscher, published by the Museum Of American Financial History in New York was described as "a very easy read and great photographs of various Colonial and Early American notes of commerce."
