The E-Sylum: Volume 7, Number 6, February 8, 2004, Article 18 BOVINE BANKING Not numismatic, but amusing nevertheless, is a this February 6 report from Reuters on an incident in northern Germany: "A Friesian cow took a detour from a wedding where she was meant to be a guest of honor, wandering into a German bank where she was caught on security cameras sidling up to the tellers. Top German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung on Friday published four robber-style photos of the cow, named Paula, strolling into the Sparkasse savings bank in Wunstorf, a small rural town in northern Germany. "The cow entered, made an elegant turn and walked right back out," a bank spokeswoman said. "It was an extraordinary experience, but it was over very quickly."
