The E-Sylum: Volume 7, Number 50, December 12, 2004, Article 11 HOLED SLAVE COINS OFFERED Duane H. Feisel writes: This sort of thing has been offered on eBay for some time now. It pertains to something that was written up recently. [The eBay item number is 3945198231. I won't repeat the full description here, but it is a holed coin that the seller attributes as a slave piece. From the lot description: "This coin is rare and unusual, it is also what is known as a spiritual coin. The coin also has a lot of meaning and history associated with it. DEVIL'S ISLAND as the name shows is probably the place on earth where more evil has taken place. It was a place of slave distribution for all of South America and later a penal colony. The coin was minted 1789, minted in Cayenne (Devil's Island). The coin denomination is two sous."
