The E-Sylum: Volume 8, Number 32, July 24, 2005, Article 21 EXTENDING THE STATE QUARTER SERIES Kavan Ratnatunga writes: "Did you know there was a bill in the House of Representatives to provide for a circulating quarter dollar coin program to honor the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the United States Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands?" [This one has been around for a while. There has been no action on it in over a year. Has it died in committee? Has anyone heard word of it being revived? Surely, the coin supply lobby would be solidly behind anything that would make the millions of U.S. State Quarter books and holders suddenly obsolete. -Editor] To read the full text and history of the bill, see: Full Story Wayne Homren, Editor The Numismatic Bibliomania Society is a non-profit organization promoting numismatic literature.
