The E-Sylum: Volume 9, Number 4, January 22, 2006, Article 23 EXTRACTING ENTOMBED PAPER MONEY Following the previous discussion on removing coins embedded in Lucite, Alan Luedeking writes: "I'd like to take advantage of this inquiry to ask the readership how to remove a rare bank note from a heat-applied plasticized tomb, such as you would use on a driver's license or ID card. Some fool plasticized a note that I would dearly like to recover, yet no amount of research on my part thus far has revealed how to dissolve or vaporize the plastic without harming the paper or inks embedded within. Help!!" Wayne Homren, Editor The Numismatic Bibliomania Society is a non-profit organization promoting numismatic literature. See our web site at coinbooks.org.
