The E-Sylum: Volume 9, Number 4, January 22, 2006, Article 27 COINS IN MOVIES: WILLY WONKA Greg Heim writes: "Our family was watching the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" starring Johnny Depp. It's a remake of the 1971 film "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." In the latter movie, one of Charlie's relatives gives Charlie a silver dollar to purchase a chocolate bar which will conceivably have the coveted "Golden Ticket." A close up of that coin reveals that it is a Peace Dollar. BTW, if you have not seen the movie it is very good (even if you do not have small children such as me)."
