The E-Sylum: Volume 9, Number 22, May 28, 2006, Article 4 CITIZENS COINAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE POSITION AVAILABLE According to a recent press release, "The United States Mint is seeking applicants for an appointment to the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC). There is an open position for a member representing the interests of the general public. The application deadline is June 12, 2006. The United States Mint will review all applications and will forward recommendations to the Secretary of the Treasury for appointment consideration." The CCAC is composed of 11 members - one specially qualified in numismatic collection curation; one specially qualified in the medallic arts or sculpture; one specially qualified in American history; one specially qualified in numismatics; three individuals representing the interests of the general public; and four individuals recommended by the Leadership of both the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate. CCAC members are Special Government Employees and are therefore subject to various applicable conflict of interest laws and ethics regulations."
