The E-Sylum: Volume 9, Number 33, August 13, 2006, Article 9 WHITMAN PHOTOGRAPHY RESPONSES AND A CRESCENT CITY CLAMSHELL Regarding his request for needed items to be photographed for upcoming Whitman book projects, Dave Bowers writes: "It is really wonderful how The E-Sylum compresses weeks into hours and eliminates distance for numismatic researchers! I've received a bunch of offers." Several volunteers contacted Dave directly, including Alan Weinberg and Rod Charleton II. Rod writes: "I too am impressed with the power of using The E-Sylum and the Internet. I received answers to my questions in no time. It's one heck of a research tool if you ask me." Dave was looking for a piece of Crescent City Depression Scrip clam money to photograph, and Rod put an image of his example on his web site.
