Even before it is off the drawing board it has a nickname. A foonie! I love Canadians' sense of humor. The loonie moniker for the dollar coin, bearing the bird of the same name, was a natural. A toonie for their $2 coin followed the same alliteration. Was it obvious what our neighbors were going to call a five-dollar coin? Or that it will quickly catch one. Time will tell.
