The E-Sylum: Volume 10, Number 13, April 1, 2007, Article 20 MISSOURI SALES TAX TOKENS Regarding the "group of four wooden tokens from Missouri" found in a Connecticut Historical Society safe, Bob Leonard writes: "From the description in the actual article, these "wooden" tokens are cardboard Missouri sales tax tokens of the second issue, in use 1936-37. Probably this represented a double set of two, 1 and 5 mills."
