QUERY: SCRANTON, PA LINCOLN MONUMENT MEDAL SOUGHT

Dick Johnson submitted this query. Is anyone aware of a medal documenting the erection of a now-missing Lincoln monument? -Editor
As we approach the bicentennial of Abe's birth all kinds of Lincoln lore is coming to the surface. Here is a news story that we did not expect. A Lincoln Monument in Scranton, Pennsylvania is missing.

Historians in the area learned about the monument with a Lincoln Bust atop an elaborately detailed base from a post card illustrating it a local collector's possession. While I don't expect an E-Sylum reader to know the whereabouts of the missing monument, does anyone have a medal issued for the dedication of this monument? It was common practice in the 19th century to issue a medal for such a ceremony. If so a medal might document an important clue.
