NANCY GREEN ON BOOK TITLESFormer American Numismatic Association Librarian Nancy Green writes:Just a comment on book titles - professional library
catalogers always use the title page as the authority for a book title,
although there may be a reference to the spine, or dust jacket title in
the cataloging record. Obviously, in addition to marketing, the book title
may simply be too long to fit on the spine. Wayne Homren, Editor The Numismatic Bibliomania Society is a non-profit organization promoting numismatic literature. See our web site at coinbooks.org.
