ASSAY MEDAL BOOK BOUND BY AUTHOR, NOT TAMS

Last week we discussed binder's errors on numismatic books, including Medals of the United States Assay Commission 1860-1977 by R. W. Julian & Ernest E. Keusch.

Token and Medal Society Journal editor David E. Schenkman writes:
Regarding Medals of the United States Assay Commission 1860-1977, which was published by the Token and Medal Society in 1989, collectors should be aware of the fact that the hardbound copies were not done by, or even with the knowledge of, TAMS. I was surprised when I received a copy from one of the authors whom, I assume, was responsible for having it done.
