QUERY: WASHINGTON, D.C. AREA BOOKBINDER SOUGHT Howard A. Daniel III submitted the following query. -Editor I finally confirmed that my Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Coins and Currency catalog was delivered to my house in Ho Chi Minh City on May 22. Now the catalogs have to be properly bubble-wrapped, protected from moisture, boxed and then crated before shipping to Norfolk, Virginia, where I will pick them up. I need to take a small quantity of them to a bookbinder. The catalog has card covers and I always have ten copies hardbound to give to the ten people who most contributed to the catalog and my usual bookbinder is no longer in business. I also have a few extra hardbound for those who want to purchase them for their libraries. Does anyone know of a bookbinder in Northern Virginia or somewhere near the Washington, DC area who can and will do short runs of catalogs? If so, please contact me at HADaniel3@msn.com. Thanks to an E-Sylum reader, I can offer Howard an alternative to the D.C. area - since Howard's picking up his shipment in Norfolk, he might try Long's Roullet Bookbinders, Inc in Norfolk. Back in 2003 reader Stephen Pradier of Dumfries, VA surprised me with a gift - a blank book nicely bound with marbled covers that he'd asked the bookbinder to prepare for me from materials left over from binding some of his books. It's very nicely done and I use it as a register of visitors to my numismatic library - I ask everyone who stops by to jot a few lines.
