FEATURED WEB SITE: COMMEMORATIVE COINS OF THE BANK OF RUSSIAThis week's Featured Web site is Commemorative Coins of the Bank of Russia, suggested by Jon Radel. He had seen the October 4, 2009 E-Sylum item about the 10-ruble coin commemorating the Russian state of Kaluga and brought one of the coins to our Nummis Nova meeting on October 13th. We agree that the coin is not as impressive in person. The flat relief of a circulating coin makes if difficult to bring to life the detail seen in the image. Still, many of the Russian coin designs are impressive - check them out.
