Live Internet bidding could be a good thing for the auctioneer and bidders alike. But the most important thing about having an Internet component to an auction is getting the information about the lots out in front of a much wider audience than would ordinarily see the catalog. Bringing new Internet bidders into the numismatic fold is a big reason for the success of firms such as Heritage. Hopefully, this feature will bring in new blood in addition to convenience.
