1858-O HALF DOLLAR COUNTERFEIT DIES

In the September 2012 issue of The E-Gobrecht, the Electronic Newsletter of the Liberty Seated Collectors Club, there are these images of a set of 1858-O half dollar counterfeit dies. These are a neat piece of numismatic history. I've never seen dies like these in person. They look like they were for preparing lead casts. -Editor
