NEW BOOK: COINS THAT TELL A STORY
The January-February 2013 issue of RNA News from the Rochester Numismatic Association announced the publication of a new book based on items in the RNA's collection. Thanks to Nick Graver for passing this along.

The 8.5" x 11" hard cover volume costs about $50. A few copies may be available at meetings although the last batch sold out fast. Get one and see if you can obtain all sixteen co-authors' signatures, as well as Q. David Bowers, who wrote the Introduction. Tim Corio conceived of the project; he was ably assisted by Lisa Fybush (editing and proofreading) and Darlene Corio (typing). Coins That Tell A Story is a truly fine team effort that brings the RNA Collection before both the membership and the public.
The preview on LuLu.com shows the extensive table of contents. There's a chapter on the history of the RNA collection, Rochester National Bank Notes and Clearing House Certificates, many different U.S. coins from 1795, many medals including the Franklin medal by Nini and the Erie Canal medal, colonial coins, world and ancient coins, and the medals of the RNA. It looks like a nice book about an historic club collection. Below is some additional produce information from the LuLu site.
