Last week Eric Schena shared images of a Panic of 1907 $1 Clearing House certificate from the Associated Banks of Lynchburg, VA. He noted that he was also interested in obtaining an 1893 panic note from Virginia. Well, Jim Downey came forward with a spare 1893 note from Richmond, VA, and I put him in touch with Eric. Here are images. Thanks! This is an interesting facet of U.S. numismatics.

I maintain that joining The E-Sylum is one of the best things I have done numismatically - especially when I get in contact with like-minded folks like Jim.
