Here's a sampling of some new coin designs forwarded by ultramodern numismatist Pabitra Saha. Thanks!

Malta 5 Euro Coin
The Central Bank of Malta has issued a €5 gold coin depicting the zecchino.
The zecchino gold coin was first minted in Venice in 1284 and derived its name from the Venetian mint which was known as the zecca. The coin, which weighed 3.5 grams, was of almost pure gold content.
Of this group the only one I kind of like is the Polish Jan Karski coin. Although I don't like coins that are too busy, the fields here seem too empty.
Ukraine has bigger problems to worry about, but these coins look atrocious to me. Much, much too busy - too many things crowded into the small space.
The Malta coin is interesting, and I'm on the fence about it. I think some will love it and many others will hate it. But it's a novel approach to forming figures.
