Dave Ginsburg writes:
The New Jersey Numismatic Society is pleased and proud to note that the April 2015 issue of The Numismatist includes an article by Ray Williams, our Vice President!
The article “An Evening with my Collection” features Ray’s reflections on nine types of coins and medals in his collection, which focuses on coins, tokens and medals that were used in, or pertain to, the lands that became the United States of America before the construction of the United States Mint in 1792.
Congratulations, Ray!
Ray adds:
My intentions were to make the reader imagine they were sitting beside me, looking at my coins and maybe even smelling my coffee. Also, writing for thousands of collectors that were unfamiliar with colonials, maybe a few might pursue that line of collecting. If not, then maybe some will enjoy the collections they have by looking into the historical stories they tell.
Great article.
Ray's a former President of the Colonial Coin Collectors Club and an E-Sylum regular as well. The Numismatist article is well done. Members of the American Numismatic Association are encouraged to check it out.
