THE BLUE RIDGE QUARTER LAUNCH CEREMONYU.S. Mint Public Affairs Specialist Lateefah Simms wrote on Thursday: The United States Mint held the ceremonial launch of the Blue Ridge Parkway quarter today, June 25, at 10am at the Pack Square Park in Asheville, NC. We had a very successful event, with approximately 750 people in attendance (including 150 children). Asheville Savings Bank exchanged $24,000 in quarters after the event.
