The Michael Sullivan collection of works on counterfeiting sold this weekend by Charles Davis included a great lot of "boodle" letters and associated counterfeiting ephemera. These
letters were basically advertising flyers for the wares of wholesale counterfeiters.
This week I came across one modern equivalent in a Google keyword search. Although I was unable to access the web site (and I'm not sure I would want to), Google captured the following text
