Miss Liberty really took one on the chin, literally. This has got to be the worst condition Libertas Americana medal I've seen, but hey - it's a Libertas Americana medal.

It's sad to see medals separated from the soldier's family, but it happens all the time. I'm glad collectors are here to step into the breach and preserve these artifacts

The lot description calls this a "token", but it's a medal cataloged in the So-Called Dollars series. The description doesn't mention the composition, which is
