Guía de las cantidades acuñadas, Cecas de Potosí y Lima, una síntesis y conversión matemática del trabajo
de Carlos Lazo García, con sección especial galanos. En memoria de Carlos Lazo García.
Asociación Amigos de la Casa de Moneda de Segovia (Friends of the Segovia Mint) has published (in Spanish) Glenn Murray's new
book as a guide to coin quantities struck at the Spanish Colonial mints of Potosí (Bolivia) and Lima (Peru).
While the book is in Spanish it is very usable even for those who don't read Spanish. The plentiful use of tables (over 75 pages have data tables)
and hundreds of color photos makes a valuable ready reference for dates, mints, assayers and quantities struck. For example, on p. 126 we find that
in 1713 Lima produced 40,325 eight escudos but only 447 four escudos indicating a relative rarity of 90:1.
A 56 page section on galanos (those special cob coins called "Royals") and Hearts makes this book indispensable for any collector or aficionado of
the so called "royals."
