Corrections: Remembering Simon Bendall
We had a typo in Anthony Portner's surname in last week's issue. Sorry! We'll fix that in our archive. Here are some additional errata to Peter
Clayton's eulogy of Simon Bendall. -Editor
1) The fall of Constantinople was the 29th May 1453 not 23rd October 1453.
2) An Introduction to The Coinage of The Empire of Trebizond was published in 2015 not 1979 and Simon Bendall was the sole author.
3) Volume V of the Catalogue of the Byzantine Coins in the Dumbarton Oaks Collection and in the Whittemore Collection was originally published in
1999.
4) Robin Porteous was present at the commemoration service
Thanks again to Peter Clayton and Anthony Portner for sharing their remembrances and these updates. -Editor
