NEWMAN PORTAL ADDS STEIGERWALT MONGRAPHSThe latest additions to the Newman Numismatic Portal are monographs about dealer Charles Steigerwalt. Project Coordinator Len Augsburger provided the following report. -Editor
Recently added to Newman Portal are two monographs of the 19th century Lancaster, PA dealer Charles Steigerwalt, compiled by Carl Waltz. These two volumes gather primary sources related to Steigerwalt and are conveniently arranged in chronological order. Waltz has searched far and wide for biographical material and the content here ranges from Steigerwalt's ephemeral publications to newspaper clips to contemporary correspondence. Volume 1 covers the year 1858-1907, while Volume 2 covers 1907 to 2022. Waltz has exhibited frequently on this topic and now shares this material with the numismatic community via Newman Portal.
