The book documents 20 issued or planned banknotes, with detailed coverage of paper, dimensions, printing techniques, numbering systems, watermarks, replacement notes, varieties and errors. Archival records, printing contracts, contemporary newspaper reports and extensive references support the research, taking the reader beyond basic identification and into the development of each issue. 
Notable subjects include the proposed 10,000-kuna banknote dated 1943 and a digital reconstruction of the 50,000-kuna design dated 1945, preserved only as an artist's sketch. The book also investigates the identities of individuals depicted on the notes and the lives of the artists responsible for their designs. Published in Zagreb in 2026, this 391-page, full-colour A4 hardcover is written in Croatian with an English abstract. It offers collectors and researchers a detailed historical and technical reference rather than a catalogue of market prices.
