The E-Sylum: Volume 7, Number 40, October 3, 2004, Article 16 VERDIGRIS ON LITERATURE Jeff Reichenberger writes: "In regard to Nancy Green's question of verdigris on literature, I have not seen it first hand but I do have some knowledge of printing inks. Years ago, metallic ink colors such as copper, actually had microscopic flecks of the metal in them to give the appearance of a metallic sheen. So given the right atmosphere, verdigris surely could attack an old copper inked catalog."
