I can recommend Coinquestion, since I run it, which is not limited to any particular type of coin, medal or banknote, and there are many others that have a more limited scope. Ancient coins, Islamic, British, etc...." Coinquestion Paul DiMarzio writes: "The Yahoo group MONETA-L is the absolute best place for help with anything ancient, including attributions. I'd also be glad to give it a crack if I had an image, or at least a description.
