A DOG NAMED BANKNOTE

Here's another dog with a medal. Perhaps inspired by the Horse named Numismatist bank-note-dog Geoffrey Bell writes:
The dog pictured is Banknote who won first place at the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo in 1901. I have also scanned the actual medal awarded to its owner D.W. Ogilvie of Montreal, Quebec.

On a different subject Geoff adds:
This coin is a mystery to me. It appears to be a family crest on a host U.S. cent. Perhaps our readers could answer the mystery.

1846 Cent counterstamped

It's certainly an unusual combination of counterstamps. Has anyone seen anything like this? -Editor
