Germanicus Bronze 
Roman Empire - Germanicus, father of Caligula (died AD 19) bronze as (10,50 g. 28 mm.). Rome mint, 42 A.D. Claudius I restitutio. Large S.C. Scarce. GERMANICVS CAESAR TI AVG F DIVI AVG N. Bare head of Germanicus, right. TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG GERM P M TR P IMP P P. around large S C. RIC (Claudius) 106 Good fine condition. Nice old cabinet red-brown patina. Almost complete legends, nice portrait and great example from this scarce Claudius I restitutio of Germanicus bronze as!! 10,50 g. 28 mm.
That's one long neck. Was his father a giraffe?

Savilla Spain Silver Real 
1 silver Real, struck in Sevilla under the Catholic Monarchs Ferdinand II of Aragon & Isabella (1469-1504). Obverse: Crowned shield of Castile-Leon and Aragon. Reverse: Yoke with traces and sheaf of arrows, S (mint mark Sevilla). Diameter: 24,5 mm Weight: 3,37 grams.
A yoke! So that's what that is. I thought the engraver was yoking with me - that's a bizarre-looking design.

A nice silver Wyon medal commemorating an Act of Parliament that instituted changes to the electoral system of England and Wales.

An interesting and quite rare piece. But what caught my eye is how much Carlo Alberto looks like former President Bill Clinton.

1857 Prince Edward Island "Self Government" Token 
Description: Token issued by prince Edward Island "self Government and Free Trade" 1857
The above "Reform Act" medal was issued AFTER government had enacted new laws. This token is an example of how people speak out BEFORE such event - raising attention to their political causes through many means, including numismatic.

I'm not sure why I was attracted to this ugly thing. I guess it's the clean lines and Art Deco style of this very plain medal.

Butcher's Slaughter Token

I asked dealer Bill Rosenblum about this one - I'd never seen anything like it.

Bill writes: Tokens like this were used to pay the butcher or the Rabbi who would "slaughter" chickens the "Kosher" way. They were used in Europe quite frequently in the 18th and 19th century. I'm not familiar with the one pictured and to me it looks quite modern.
