The American Numismatic Society is one of the oldest numismatic collector organizations in the world. Founded in 1858 the Society has some of the greatest collections of coins ever assembled. Hear the stories of the collectors who donated their numismatic holdings to this venerable institution from the ANS Executive Director, Dr. Ute Wartenberg Kagan. An excellent presentation, well worth watching. I was particularly interested to learn about Chief Pitalesharu's "Peace Medal," presented by the young ladies of Miss White's Seminary in Washington, D.C. -Editor
