"I appreciated Wayne's recent informative comments about touring Pittsburgh after the ANA Show. I was born in Bethel Park but raised in the Minneapolis area where I am an ANA Member of the NorthWest Coin Club. My trip to Pittsburgh included the ANA show and visiting cousins and cemeteries chronicling family ancestry.
There is so much to do at The World's Fair of Money: Seeing the eleven 1933 double eagles at the US Mint booth, The Tyrant Collection, 1857 SS Central America shipwreck display, hearing club member Bill Daehn speak, and getting exhibit ideas as I am our club's chair for displaying exhibits at our twice-annual Money Show.
No trip to the area is complete without a stop at scenic Mount Washington. A surprise destination was going to the VDB-designed fountain in Schenley Park near Pitt after receiving the copper medal at the show from Minted Assets. See you in Chicago at next year's World's Fair of Money! Thank you for the issues of the E-Sylum."
