The latest addition to the Newman Numismatic Portal is the Banker’s Magazine. Project Coordinator Len Augsburger provided the
following report. -Editors
The Banker’s Magazine, for the period 1846-1922, is now available on the Newman Portal. Although available piecemeal from a number
of public domain sources, the full run has not been previously consolidated on a single site. The Banker’s Magazine has long been known as a
source of numismatic information, but the physical size of the volumes has limited set collecting to all but the most spacious libraries.
With an emphasis on banking issues, this periodical covered topics of numismatic interest such as precious metals production, debased
and fraudulent coin, and foreign coin exchange. In addition, Roger Burdette has extracted specific articles with numismatic content from
vol. 28 (1873-1874), and these are listed singly under the year 1874.

What a great resource! Note the verb in the headline - as Len noted, these didn't need to be digitized, since they'd already been
digitized and made available by various partner libraries of Washington University in St. Louis. With the Portal, these are now available
in one convenient place for numismatic researchers. -Editor
